Asian American Art & Culture Initiative Art Exhibition

Dive into the Texas history from the perspective of Asian Americans by music, installations and paintings.  The Roots Unviled exhibition will start from May 15, 2025 to August 31, 2025 at the Austin Central Library with its opening reception on May 18, 2025.  Please RSVP your free admission for an afternoon full of culture and art. 

The primary objective of "Besides Math" is to create an artist exhibition opportunities in Houston  where young Asian American artists can explore and present their authentic selves. This exhibition will highlight the rich, multifaceted narratives that define the Asian American experience, pushing back against the narrow image of being solely academically inclined or good at math. Through a variety of artistic expressions, the exhibition will address cultural identity, generational challenges, societal expectations, and the personal struggles and triumphs of growing up as a second-generation immigrant.  Exhibition will take place at the Houston Central Library in November 2025.  Subscribe to our newsletter for more information.
