Madame Chiang Visit U.S. during World War II

Roots unveiled in production

During WWII, Madame Chiang Kai-shek visited the U.S. in 1943 to rally support for China’s war effort against Japan. She addressed Congress, met President Roosevelt, and captivated Americans with her eloquence and charm, becoming the first Chinese and first woman to speak before a joint session of Congress.
